About The West Lancashire League
The league is dedicated to providing the highest standard of amateur football in the North West of England and to this end we are appointed by the Football Association as an automatic feeder league from grassroots football to Step 6 of the non-league football pyramid.

We work for, and with clubs, to allow them to meet their specific goals. This may be to be the best they can be with the resources they have, to enable them to grow and to meet any new ambitions or ultimately be prepared both on and off the pitch to step up into the FA semi-professional National Football Pyramid.

Several Clubs have migrated through the West Lancashire Football League to the North West Counties Football League, the Northern Premier League & also into the National Leagues.

The West Lancashire Football League has been in existence for over 100 seasons and its history, starting in 1905, includes many famous footballing names at club and player level and now covers a large geographical area of the North West of England.

We bring together the very best of amateur football coupled with a set of expectations and regulations well beyond those set for us by the Football Association.

This is a key reason why the league is seen as an exemplar across the country as a National Feeder League, it is also why clubs who desire to move up the pyramid are successful when they do so.
