We start this edition of the round-up at Whitehaven, who rallied to produce one of the standout Premier Division results this weekend.

A brace from Ben McCabe, either side of a Morgan Griffiths goal, saw the hosts trail 3-0 to Turton inside half an hour, only to ultimately triumph 5-3 thanks to a goal apiece from Carl Denver and Kian Goulding, and a 14-minute hat-trick from Owen Woodburn.

Meanwhile, Rossendale fought from 3-1 down to win 4-3 at Wyre Villa, thanks in part to a pair of successfully converted penalties from Luke Simpson.

Wayne Morrison and Simon Nangle were also on target for the visitors, whilst Wyre Villa’s goals came via Savlon Fernando, Curtis Roskell and an Alex Pope penalty.

But leading the scorers on Saturday were Blackpool Wren Rovers, who netted eight on their way to victory over Slyne with Hest.

Ric Seear started and rounded off the scoring on his way to a hat-trick, whilst Jacob Aspinall, Ben Duffield, Luke Harris, Tarren Moxon and Joe Preston all got one each.

Jakub Kowalik and John Cunningham found the net for the Slyne with Hest, the latter scoring from the spot, in what would ultimately be an 8-2 defeat.

Elsewhere, it was all change at the top, as goals from Daniel Stoney and Archie Lang saw Thornton Cleveleys beat previous leaders Milnthorpe Corinthians 2-0.

And they are replaced at the top of the table by Fulwood Amateurs, who recorded a 2-1 comeback victory at Tempest United.

Goals from Ryan Dodd and Noah Hindley turned the game around, after Jordan Pendlebury had opened the scoring for the hosts in the 10th minute.

CMB, now the only side in the division left with a perfect start, are sat in second, that after Carl Grimshaw’s hat-trick secured a 3-2 victory over Poulton, whose goals were scored by Billy Joyce and Billy Dollin.

A brace from Olly Evans, coupled with an Ian Marsden goal, saw Lostock St Gerards win 3-1 at Cleator Moor Celtic, that despite the hosts taking the lead in the first-half through Ellis Trotter.

And we complete the Premier Division round-up with Hurst Green, who played out a 1-1 draw with Burscough Richmond after Nick Hepple cancelled out an early own goal.

It was a five-star performance from Division One leaders Askam United, with Ben Phizakela and Aiden Pearson both netting twice in their victory at Southport Hesketh.

Callum Rayner also got on the scoresheet in a 5-2 win, with the hosts’ goals coming courtesy of Evan Hargreaves and Joe Tieney.

Second-placed side Croston Sports also won handsomely, with Ryan Fletcher, Jordan Wignall, Adam Stammers and Elliot Lucas all on target as they beat Carnforth Rangers 4-0.

Ulverston Rangers, meanwhile, left it late to get the better of now third-placed Chipping, as Diesel Wilkes’ 97th minute strike sealed a 3-2 victory.

Jack Milburn and Sam Pinnegor also netted in the win, whilst Harris Bailey got both goals for Chipping.

It wasn’t quite stoppage-time drama at Crooklands Casuals, but it did take until the 85th minute for Kyle Delves to break the deadlock and hand the home side a 1-0 against Holker Old Boys Reserves.

And there was a 1-0 victory too for Lytham Town, with Billy Bould’s goal enough to seal all three points against Milom.

Lewis Johnston set Hesketh Bank on their way to a 3-0 win at Haslingden St Mary’s, with Dan Birkby and Nathan Gonzales also on the scoresheet.

And in the weekend’s final Division One fixture, goals from Jack Brench and Jay Hayton sealed a 2-1 win for Kendal County over Eagley, with those strikes coming either side of a Finlay Stafford equaliser.

Moving into Division Two, and whilst the new season’s table is still yet to truly take shape, if the early running is anything to go by, this weekend’s results could well prove crucial come the business end of the campaign.

Walney Island are now top, after a Hayden Skyme hat-trick helped propel the new leaders to a 5-2 win at Stoneclough.

The hosts were 2-0 up after 25 minutes thanks to Nathan Pitt and Zac Wood, before Skyme’s treble, along with a Zach Walker penalty and Nathan Cloudsdale, completed a remarkable turnaround.

That result came as fellow high-flyers Freckleton and Garstang Reserves had their perfect starts to the season busted, with Astley and Buckshaw beating the latter 4-0 after Wes Bajrallu and Adnaan Patel netted either side of a Kurt Robinson brace.

Meanwhile, it was Storeys who stopped Freckleton’s winning run, as a double from Matthew Poole, along with goals from Dominic Hoyle and Kyle Summers, helped secure a 4-3 victory.

Reece Turner, Saul Hamer and Callum Williams were the scorers for Freckleton.

Another beneficiary of those results was Euxton Villa Reserves, who move closer to the conversation at the top after a 5-1 win at Dalton United.

Sam Burton and Lewis Sullivan both scored twice in the win, that after Theo Davies had opened the scoring just before half-time.
Robbie McMurdo got the hosts’ only goal.

Pause United also hit five goals on the road, with Jack Preston rounding off their 5-0 win at Galgate with a brace, after Taylor Fagan, Jamie Wilkes and Ben Roberts had each found the net.

Quickfire goals from Cole Knott and Danny Sumner helped AFC Blackpool Reserves earn a 2-2 draw at Caton United, whose goals came via Joe Jenkinson and Simon Wearing.

And at Hawcoat Park, a Cole Heaton penalty on the hour was enough to hand visitors Charnock Richard Reserves a 1-0 win.

A hat-trick from Jared Bain helped Poulton Reserves put an end to Tempest United Reserves’ 100% start in Division One Reserve, with Mitchell Davenport netting what would prove a consolation as the score ended 3-1.

And Tempest United Reserves would also see themselves overtaken by Fulwood Amateurs Reserves, who moved up to second with a 5-0 win at Eagley Reserves.

Spencer Lucas got the scoring started with a brace, before Layton Kirnon, Hugo Strand and Cory Gill each added their names to the scoresheet.

There were five goals too for Lostock St Gerards Reserves, who battled from a goal down to ultimately beat CMB Reserves 5-1.

Adam Whittaker netted twice in the win, with Luke Goodeve, Damien Green and Kyle Carlisle also finding the net, all after Jimmy Winteringham had scored against their side just four minutes in.

Hurst Green Reserves’ Luke Conti was even quicker off the mark, however, netting in the first minute of his side’s 4-0 victory at Rossendale Reserves.

Daniel Mort, Jordan Rawcliffe and Ashley Wilson also scored in the win.

Meanwhile, goals from Ellis Wilson and Jordan Wood helped seal a 3-0 win for Blackpool Wren Rovers Reserves at Coppull Reserves, that after the visitors had taken the lead through a first-half own goal.

Croston Sports Reserves moved joint-top of the Division Two Reserve table after a 5-2 win at Carnforth Rangers Reserves.

The visitors led 3-0 at the break thanks to Niall Maloney, Ben Davies and an own goal, and despite goals from Will Meade and Josh Hadwin setting up an unlikely comeback, Ewan Cheetham’s late brace would ultimately restore that three-goal advantage.

Chipping Reserves also claimed a 5-2 victory of their own, meaning they remain well-placed having played a game less than the top two.

Gareth Jones netted twice in the win, with Zach Wilson, Tom Airey and Ravi Goshark also getting on the scoresheet, the latter from the penalty spot.

Meanwhile, Rossendale A’s goals were scored by Jaden Hoyle and Noah Chamberlain.

It was 5-3 as Fulwood Amateurs A hosted Lytham Town Reserves, with a Dylan Jackson-Cooney hat-trick helping to seal victory for the home side.

Isaac Webster and Jack Dickinson also netted in the win, whilst the visitors goals came courtesy of Cameron Palmer and Oliver Heywood double.

And onto the final team to score five this weekend, Milnthorpe Corinthians Reserves, who won 5-1 at Thornton Cleveleys A thanks to two goals from Will Booth and three from Matthew Casson.
Kyle Housley got the hosts’ only goal.

Haslingden St Mary’s Reserves won 4-0 at Hesketh Bank Reserves, thanks to goals from Charlie Howard, Charlie Lord, Olly Thompson and Bradley White.

And we end this weekend’s addition of the round-up on a goalless draw, but an important one, as Freckleton Reserves maintained top spot with a point against Storeys Reserves.
