KENDAL COUNTY GO TEN POINTS CLEAR

Kendal County extended their lead at the top of the table to 10 points with a 2-1 victory away at Walney Island. Broody Wallace-Moffatt put the visitors ahead on 15 minutes only for Matthew Lockley to level for Walney on 62 minutes. Shane Lambert grabbed the winner on 68 minutes to edge Kendal nearer to the title.

Furness Cavaliers and Bolton County played out a seven goal thriller at Rampside Road. County took the lead through Dean Hailwood on 8 minutes only for Cavaliers to respond late in the first half with goals from Mark Curtis and Kyle Delves to give the home side a 2-1 lead at the break. Jamie Wright added a third 9 minutes into the second half and Chris Benson made it 4-1 on 59 minutes. County grabbed two late goals when Dean Hailwood scored his second of the game and Tom Axon-Smith fired home to make the last 5 minutes interesting, only for Furness to hold on and take the points.

Furness Rovers, also at home on Saturday took on Croston Sports Club at the Training Pitch. Croston's Matthew Masterson opened the scoring for visitors on 4 minutes and it stayed 1-0 to Croston at the half time break. Sixteen year old Nathan Nickeas doubled Croston's lead scoring his first goal for his club on 70 minutes only for Reece Carlisle to pull one back for Rovers on 75 minutes. Matthew Masterson wrapped things up 5 minutes from time to make it 3-1 to Croston.

Stoneclough promotion aspirations were dealt a blow as they wen down 3-2 at home to Millom. Millom were 2-0 up inside 20 minutes through Tim Haberfield and Ben McDonald, but Sam Brooks struck back for the home side just before half time to give Stoneclough hope. Chris Cancallis found the equaliser for the Bolton side 10 minutes into the second half, however it was Millom who returned up the M6 with all three points when Jordan Williams grabbed the winner 5 minutes from time.

In the Challenge Cup First Round CMB progressed into the last eight defeating Leyland United 4-2. Paul Hallows put the home side in from on 17 minutes and it remained 1-0 at the break. In the second half Louis Wilkes made it 1-1 on 50 minutes only for Hallows to put his side back in front on 67 minutes. Matthew Carr added a third for CMB on 79 minutes to make it 3-1, but an own goal a minute later gave Leyland hope. Paul Hallows had other ideas and put the game beyond doubt when he grabbed his hat trick 4 minutes from time to send CMB through.
