Birch to lay foundations for success at Croston

Stuart Birch has been appointed Football Development Manager at Croston Sports Club.

A spokesman said: "Stuart will be responsible for the Reserve team at Croston and will offer support to the Under 18s manager as we look to establish a clear pathway from Junior to Senior Football.

"That being said we hope to introduce an Under 23's side providing the best possible environment for our younger players to develop which will be overseen by Stuart.

"Stuart has extensive managerial experience across the West Lancashire League having managed at both Lostock St Gerards and more recently the U23's side at Fulwood Amateurs.

"Stuart will be joined by Dave Halliwell who has been Stuart’s trusted assistant in both previous roles."
