Wyre Villa seal promotion to top flight

By Andy Sykes

Wyre Villa will take their place in the West Lancashire League Premier Division next season after finally getting the win they needed to earn promotion - with pictures from DERICK THOMAS.

They beat Ulverston Rangers 4-1 on Thursday night to leapfrog Hesketh Bank into the second promotion slot.

Joe Booth and an own goal gave them a 2-0 lead at half-time only for Callum Fawcett to pull one back and get the nerves jangling.

But two quickfire goals from Robbie Parker and Ryan Moore sealed the win to get the celebrations started.
