Jonty McDonald also scored twice, whilst Zaid Bangi got the game’s opener.

Thornton Cleveleys meanwhile had four different scorers in their 4-0 victory at Coppull United, with Brett Dawson, Archie Lang, Daniel Stoney and David Cartmell all grabbing a goal apiece in the triumph.

Elsewhere, the hard-fought battle at the top continued, with the Premier Division’s leading duo both picking up maximum points on the road.

A 33rd minute Ben Thornton strike was enough to see table-toppers CMB claim a 1-0 win at Blackpool Wren Rovers, whilst second-placed Burscough Richmond won 2-0 at Wyre Villa thanks to goals from Raj Singh-Uppal and Adam Sutton.

Mitchell Cheetham’s stoppage time penalty rescued a point for Poulton, currently third, as they drew 2-2 at Milnthorpe Corinthians.

The hosts twice led the game thanks to a brace from Gary Thompson, but he would see his goals cancelled out first by Max Landless, and then by Cheetham’s 93rd minute spot kick, as the two sides shared the spoils in what was referee Paul Kettlewell's final game as a match official.

Slyne with Hest and Vickerstown also benefited from late levelers, as the pair drew 1-1 against Tempest United and Turton respectively.

Joe Wareing’s 88th minute goal saw Slyne with Hest claim a point after Tom Booth had struck for Tempest United, whilst George Akred also netted in the 88th minute for Vickerstown, cancelling out an early opener from Turton’s Sam Rigby.

Rounding off Saturday’s Premier Division action, goals from Joe Savin and Tom Diver saw Hurst Green complete a 2-1 comeback victory over Lytham Town, that after Alan Greenwood had opened the scoring just five minutes in.

Division One: Title tussle continues as leaders refuse to falter

The battle at the top of Division One has for some time seemed a three-horse race, and that top trio were again in fine form this weekend, all taking maximum points.

Remarkably, the only Division Two side to take maximum points at home on Saturday were Astley and Buckshaw, who beat Dalton United 3-1 thanks to goals from Wes Bajrallu, Dom Case and Kurt Robinson.

Alex Bolland scored what would prove to be a consolation for the visitors late on.

The division’s final two games this weekend both ended in draws, with Storeys and AFC Blackpool Reserves eventually having to settle for a point apiece as their matchup ended 3-3.

Tyler Hallam scored twice for an AFC Blackpool Reserves side that led the game both 1-0 and 3-1, aided by a goal from George Byrne.

However, a Dave Whitelaw penalty, along with strikes from Josh Airey and Ryan Yates, helped Storeys battle to claim a share of the spoils.

Meanwhile, Chipping and Garstang Reserves drew 1-1, with Ethan Edmundson’s equaliser swiftly cancelling out Tom Graham’s seventh minute spot kick.

Division One Reserve: Last minute drama at Thornton Cleveleys Reserves

Harry Fryer opened the scoring after just three minutes, and that was the only goal of the game up until 85th minute, when Ethan Mason’s equaliser looked to have rescued a point for Turton Reserves.

However, Hadcraft was on hand to restore Thornton Cleveleys Reserves’ lead as normal time expired, a lead that would this time prove decisive.

In the division’s other game this weekend, Nathan Monson hit a double, including one from the spot, to help Tempest United Reserves to a 3-1 win over Coppull United Reserves.

They will be joined in the semi-final by Hurst Green Reserves, who beat Lostock St Gerards Reserves 5-4 on penalties.

Lostock St Gerards Reserves took the lead through Adam Whittaker, and held that advantage until two minutes from time, when Andrew Tinker netted an equaliser to force a shoot-out, from which is side would ultimately emerge victorious.
