"Frank, who turned 90 in October, after initially playing in the Preston Churches League, had been involved with the WLL for around 65 years.

"He joined former WLL member club BAC Preston in the early 1960’s where, as a loyal one club man, carried out many roles, including player, physio, manager, linesman and Club Secretary (1993/94 to 2007/8 season).

"He joined the WLL committee in 2001, serving upon the league committee for many years, becoming Vice Chairman 2005, Chairman 2008 & spending 15 years as League Chairman before moving on to become League President in 2023.

"The League would like to pass on their sincere condolences to Frank’s family, Sarah (daughter), granddaughters and Caroline (partner).
