Tempest United

By Chris Wight

Alan Westhead wishes to sincerely thank everyone who attended the presentation evening last Friday.

On behalf of Alan Westhead, Tempest United wishes to incerely thank everyone who attended the 50 years Service to Amateur Football Award’ Evening on Friday 31st July 2015
Alan was overwhelmed with the amount of previous managers, players, committee members and villagers who attended.
Alan would personally like to thank Gordon Howard, President of the Lancashire FA for travelling to the ‘The Shed’ to present the award.
The sheer amount of people from the last 3 decades who attended proves that ‘grass roots football’ is a beautiful game and will always be in the heart of our community, because, once you are involved at this level it never leaves you.

To echo Alan’s acceptance speech -

“50 years is a long time and I can honestly say, I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute I have spent at this club, here’s to the next 50 years!”
