New look Stewart Rowe Cup revealed

The groupings for the new look Stewart Rowe Memorial Cup have been drawn out of the hat.

For the first time, clubs will be split into four groups and will play each other once.

The top two from each group of six teams will go on to compete in the knock-out stages.

The competition has been revised to provide more games for reserve sides with teams only playing 22 league games throughout the season.

A team that reaches the final will play 22 league games plus eight league games meaning 30 in total.

Blackpool Wren Rovers are the current holders.

The first group ties will be played on Saturday September 30.
