Reserves Management Team to Stand Down.

The long term Management Team of Paul Bailey and Alec Curwen are to stand down as Manager and Assistant Manager of Garstang F.C. Reserves as soon as replacements are found.

“There has been no fall out” said a Club spokesman. “Both “Bails” and Alec thought that now was the right time to relinquish their positions having won the League last season”". The Club wishes to place on record its gratitude to both men for their hard work and dedication to Garstang Football Club culminating in their League success last season”

In a meeting with the Chairman “Bails” said, “After twelve years in the job which was highlighted in winning the League title last season I seem to have lost some motivation and perhaps it was time for someone else to pick up the reigns” Coinciding with the Manager’s decision Alec said that he was finding it difficult combining work commitments with the necessary time to run the Reserve Team.

The Chairman, Adrian Wilding said, “Both “Bails” and Alec have done a great job over a lot of years helping to bring players through to the First Team and of course having the personal satisfaction in winning the Reserve Division 1 League Title. I’m pleased to say that they have told me that they have no intention of severing their contact with the Club and will be down helping at the Riverside whenever they could”

The Chairman went on to say, “We are now actively seeking replacements and invite interested parties to contact Les Taylor on 07979 235217 or e-mail: les.mar@tiscali.co.uk Closing date for applications is 31st October 2015”
