Fulwood see off Stoneclough to reach LFA Shield final

By Andy Sykes

Fulwood Amateurs eased into the Lancashire FA Amateur Shield final last night - and Slyne with Hest could make it an all West Lancashire League affair tonight, pictures from STEVE TAYLOR.

Tony Hesketh's men proved too strong for Division One challengers Stoneclough, running out 4-1 winners at AFC Darwen.

A Ryan Dodd strike gave the Premier League title challengers the advantage at the break before goals from Owen Sewell, Lucas Weaver and Ellis Wallbank saw them through to the final.

Stoneclough - who finished with 10 men - grabbed a consolation goal through Ben Marshall, the first goal Fulwood goalkeeper Aaron Lancaster has conceded in nine games.
