Dalton United

Andy Johnson completes amazing feat.

A Dalton United footballer is the pride of the town today after completing an amazing feat. Andy Johnson took on the challenge of cycling ‘Lejog’, Lands End to John O’Groats . The task was made that much harder by the added challenge of doing it non-stop! That’s no overnight break or stop longer than 30mins to 1hr. A continuous cycle ride broken up with small specified breaks for food and water, with the idea of getting from LE to JOG as fast as he could.

Andy set off on Friday morning and arrived at the finish line 900 miles up the road 4 days later. That’s 225 miles per day!

Andy (28),who has played For Dalton United since the age of 16, took a break from football to prepare for the challenge. Dalton United would like to congratulate Andy on his amazing achievement.
