"Coppull United can confirm David Haughton has resigned as first team manager and Director of football with immediate effect.

First Team Assistant Manager Gary Young will take charge of first team matters.

David Haughton has had a successful 4 year term at the football club and most recently won the first major cup in 2014/15 season, winning the Lancashire FA Amateur Shield.

Dave has left the team in a fantastic position with them sitting in 4th position in the West Lancashire League, semi finals of the North West Counties Association Cup and still a first round game in the Richardson Cup to play.

The Club would like to thank Dave for his hard work and dedication during his time as manager and over many years as a player.
