Andy Roberts 700th Appearance.

Veteran Club Captain Andy Roberts will reach the incredible milestone of 700 appearances for the Club in this afternoon’s game at home to Garstang. Since joining Charnock Richard at the start of the 1995/96 season, Andy has scored 347 goals including 12 Hat-tricks. He has made 494 full league appearances and 28 from the bench knocking in a remarkable 257 goals from midfield. In the Lancashire Amateur Shield he has recorded 73 appearances plus two as a substitute scoring 39 goals. The Richardson Cup appearances are 45 with an additional three from the bench with 29 goals and he made a minimum of 47 full appearances and five from the bench in the Goldline Trophy. A competition in which he scored 22 goals.
His highest number of goals in a season was 31 in season 2001/2. In a four further seasons he recorded over 20 goals and his poorest season for finding the net was 2009/10 when he only scored nine goals. Some people said that he was finished!
He continues to be a vital player for the club with nine goals so far this season. During his long spell at the club, he has lifted five West Lancashire League Premier Division titles, four Lancashire Amateur Shields, three Richardson Cups and two Goldline Trophy's.....Not a bad record and who knows how long he can keep it going?
The club once again wish to thank him for his loyalty and all the commitment that he has brought to the team. It is difficult to envisage his record ever being beaten.
