Adam Swanwick [Jags}.

Garstang Football Club are mourning the sad loss of one of its favourite players.
Adam Swanwick known to most as “Jags” passed away on Sunday following a heart attack.

A statement issued by the club following a meeting on Monday night said,
“ We are all devastated with the news, “Jags” was one of the most popular players ever to pull on a Garstang Football Club shirt. Our thoughts are with his family and all those who were closest to him. As a Club we will be there to support them in any way that we can “.

28 years old Adam first played for Garstang as a 15 year old and tragically played his last game last Saturday in Garstang Reserve Team’s 5 - 2 win over Poulton Town Reserves.

As a mark of respect all games involving Garstang Football Club will be postponed this weekend.

Adam's funeral will take place on Saturday 15th September 2012 at 3.00pm at St Thomas's Church, Garstang
