Five-star Vickerstown storm to Premier Division summit

In-form Vickerstown made it three from three to go top of the table with a five-star showing at Coppull United.

Scott McDonald grabbed an early brace and further goals from Kyle Delves, Jackson Round and Harrison Turner secured a 5-3 win, leaving the home side still searching for their first points of the season.

The Cumbrians top the table by virtue of goal difference from Lytham Town who also have nine points from three games.

Second-half goals from Ross Ainsworth and a Bob Harris penalty was enough to see off Turton for the Fylde coast side.

Burscough Richmond moved up to third with an impressive win at Hurst Green, Billy Whittle and Jordan Lorde grabbing the goals to earn the three points.

Thornton Cleveleys were one of three Premier Division sides to nick wins in the last minute as they left it late to defeat Tempest United.

The game was heading for a 2-2 draw before Lewis Walmsley popped up in the 90th minute to seal victory.

CMB were coasting at Southport Hesketh with goals from Daniel Crook and a Ben Thornton double giving the Bolton side a commanding 3-0 lead with just 15 minutes left on the clock.

But three quickfire goals from Denis Hill’s men looked to have dashed Rob Pennington’s hopes of a third straight win.

However Hayden Taylor grabbed the headlines for CMB with an injury time winner to seal a 4-3 thriller.

David Lang was the last-gasp hero for Blackpool Wren Rovers as they came from behind to win 2-1 at Euxton Villa while Fulwood Amateurs beat Whitehaven 3-1 to get their first win on the board.

And Poulton Town are off and running with a point at Slyne, who twice came from behind in a 2-2 stalemate.

In Division One, Ryan Moore curled home a late winner for Wyre Villa in a 2-1 win at Hawcoat Park to keep their 100% record intact.

A Declan Baines double helped Askam United to a 4-2 win over Stoneclough while Hesketh Bank came from behind to defeat Crooklands Casuals by the odd goal in three.

Milnthorpe went goal crazy for the second time in four days with a 11-0 thumping of Horwich St Mary’s with Ricky Ball grabbing four goals and Steve Yawson and Brendan Croskill-Robinson each claiming a hat-trick in the rout.

It was a much tighter affair at Kendal County where Lostock St Gerards prevailed 1-0.

Eagley saw off Ulverston Rangers despite a double from the visitor’s Jordan McGarry and Croston Sports got off the mark with a 3-1 win at Haslingden St Mary’s.

In Division Two, Rossendale’s perfect start to the season continued with a 6-0 defeat of Cartmel and District.

They have now scored 15 goals in three games and are yet to concede a goal – with Tom Hulme’s double meaning he has seven in just three games.

Carnforth Rangers and Kendal United also have three wins from three after wins against Burnley United and Furness Rovers respectively.

Harris Bailey grabbed a hat-trick in a 4-1 for Chipping overt Storeys and Walney Island moved up to fifth with a 6-1 defeat of Freckleton.

Garstang prevailed 4-1 in the A6 derby with Galgate and Charnock Richard reserves saw off Dalton United 3-2.
