First Team Manager Opportunity

Millom AFC are looking to recruit a new manager to help drive forward and develop their 1st team squad who currently play in the West Lancashire League Division 2. The club has a solid and talented playing base with a sound mix of younger up-and-coming players blended with some more experienced individuals. The club’s ambitions lie above their Division 2 status and would wish to appoint someone with equal thoughts.
The club is progressive and run a further three sides in the Furness Premier League giving a total of approximately 70-80 senior players. It has also recently amalgamated with the towns junior section who have a number of teams from under 6’s to under 16’s. The committee for the club is proactive and committed and would give the successful applicant their full support.
We are looking for a volunteer manager for the 1st team who will be ultimately responsible for the football side of the club. The club currently trains on a Tuesday and Thursday evening and games are played on a Saturday at Hanna Field Millom and across the West Lancashire district.
The post requires excellent communication and player management skills, self-motivation and enthusiasm for the game and a willingness to push this club forward.
The club has a proud history within the West Lancashire Divisions and we feel the post is a very exciting opportunity for someone looking to be fully involved in the running of a successful football club.
Applications should be made in writing to the club secretary – Steve Allington (steve.allington@btinternet.com) or if required Steven can be contacted on 07736053343
